Accessibility at AIA25

AIA is fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion across our profession, firms, and chapters. These values are central to the events we host, including AIA25, where creating an inclusive, accessible experience for all attendees is a top priority.


How we’re making AIA25 an experience for everyone

This page includes specific details about available accommodations and how to request them.

Available accommodations

AIA25 offers dozens of hours of education and networking opportunities, providing attendees with a wealth of information in a short timeframe. As a standard practice, you can expect accommodations for in-person accessibility, nursing individuals, dietary requirements, and more. The following accommodations will be available at AIA25.

  • Accessible parking
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) hotel rooms upon request
  • Captioning in education sessions (including CE theaters session on the expo Floor)
  • Communication Assisted Realtime Translation (CART) interpretation during daily keynotes
  • Wheelchair-accessible buses for bus tours (except for tours noted as not wheelchair accessible) and hotel shuttles
  • ADA-reserved seating during keynotes and core programming
  • Accessible restrooms across the convention center
  • Gender-neutral restrooms across the convention center
  • The Reflection Room, a designated quiet space where attendees can study, review notes, and process insights gained during sessions, offering a calm environment to recharge and focus
  • Lactation areas, including a private Mamava Nursing Pod located in the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, Southeast Level 1, adjacent to restroom
  • A golf cart for quick access to locations inside the BCEC

Accommodations you can request by April 25, 2025

  • American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters
  • Stage ramps for speakers (speakers will be required to request accommodation upon speaker confirmation)
  • Food allergy accommodations upon request during the registration process
  • Scooters
    • A limited number of scooters will be available through AIA upon request
    • Scooters can also be secured through Scootaround and delivered to your hotel or the BCEC
