Joseph Ruocco

Joseph Ruocco leads SOM's Civic & Government Practice focused on complex Federal, State and County Government projects, particularly those with multiple stakeholders and stringent security requirements. His work demonstrates the AIA Framework for Design Excellence in which he advocates on behalf of the profession in elevating client ambitions. He collaborates with clients internationally and domestically in pursuit of impactful projects that are human-centric and integrated into the public realm. He has extensive experience with all design and construction delivery methods, including CMAR, design-bid-build, design-build, design-build-bridging and design-assist. In 2023, Joseph was elected to the AIA College of Fellows for pioneering technology to drive collaboration, developing industry changing management strategies, and amplifying the voices of emerging architects and small businesses.
