Erik Hegre, AIA, NCARB, joined Behnisch Architekten in 2012 and is a partner in the Boston office. His work experience includes architectural practices specializing in design/build and fabrication, through which he developed a passion for an integrated approach to design and construction. As a technical leader with an early and deep commitment to sustainable design, building science, meticulous detailing and material selection, he leads multidisciplinary teams and is actively involved in systems integration, digital workflows, and optimizing the interfaces between design and realization of projects. From 2014-2020, Erik was a project lead for the Harvard Science and Engineering Complex. Currently, he is a project leader for the Vagelos Laboratory for Energy Science and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania. Erik received his Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
