Catherine (Cat) works in the Office of Climate Resilience (formerly Climate Ready Boston) as a Senior Climate Resilience Project Manager with a focus on coastal resilience and has been with the City since March 2021. In this role, she oversees the development of neighborhood coastal resilience planning, the implementation of coastal resilience projects, wetlands protection and restoration projects, and the cross-departmental integration of climate resilience into the City's planning, capital projects, and permit review. Projects that Catherine had led or is currently leading include the Coastal Resilience Solutions for East Boston and Charlestown (Phase II) plan, Resilient Border Street Waterfront Project, Resilient Bennington Street and Fredericks Park Project, the Mattahunt Woods Urban Wild Restoration Project, and the Coastal Resilience Project Implementation Tracker, among others. Before joining the City of Boston, Catherine held roles at VHB, the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation, and the Boston Planning and Development Agency. Originally from Durham, N.C., Catherine received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Biology from Wellesley College and her Master in Urban Planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
