Karl Allen

Karl Allen is the Senior Urban Planner for Economic Mobility for the City of Chelsea, Massachusetts, a dense, environmental justice community which has been welcoming waves of immigrants for centuries. He has been with the city since late 2016 and his remit covers developing, advancing, and evaluating economic development, workforce development, social determinants of health, and infrastructure policy. This includes a wide range of projects to benefit the city's current residents, including entrepreneurship support, youth development, large development support, brownfields, air quality, urban planning, and transportation planning.
