Vu Viet Anh has 21 years’ experience in architecture, landscape architecture, urban design and planning in Vietnam. He is the co-founder and design principal of TA Landscape Architecture, one of the field leading firms in Vietnam. Practices of TA Landscape Architecture spread over architectural disciplines from small scale pop-up architecture to vast scale planning, from conceptual design to construction document, for instance the Nguyen Hue Floral street, the Ho Chi Minh City Bookstreet, the Golden Bridge, the Thanh Long Baywalk, etc. Through his practice, he has won international and domestic awards in architecture and landscape architecture.
Furthermore, he is engaging in many training courses and research as a lecturer at University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City (UAH). He has spent all his higher education with this university, from Bachelor of Architecture to Master of Urban Planning and then Doctor of Architecture in Urban and Regional Planning. Viet Anh is giving lectures in Landscape Architecture Introduction, Landscape Design Techniques, and other design studios in Landscape Architecture, both for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. His research focuses on urban morphology, transit-oriented development, landscape identity, and public space. The core of his practice and research is place-making, which has been reflected in most of his designs and publishment.
He is now also the Chief of Institute of International Education of UAH to get involved in many international corporation activities in terms of both academics and professionals.
Beside working as practitioner and lecturer, Viet Anh is engaged in Vietnamese Association of Architects as executive committee member and Ho Chi Minh City Association of Architects as standing executive committee member.
