Phillip Neuberg

Longtime AIA member Phillip Neuberg provides long-range planning, programming, and architectural services as the NIST Federal Preservation Officer.

In this role as well as in previous roles as an architect and planner at the NIH, he has influenced federal agencies to adopt a leadership role in the stewardship of their historic scientific research properties.

Prior to those roles, he was a consultant to federal agencies, the historic preservation planner for Yale University and the historical architect for the Utah SHPO.

He currently serves as a member of the leadership team of the AIA National Public Architect Knowledge Community. Prior to that he served as the Chair of the AIA|DC Chapter’s Public Architects Committee.
