Estey Masten

Estey is a Senior Community Engagement Specialist for HDR-Boston. She brings over 15 years of experience in marketing, business development, strategy, and writing (5 of which in the AEC industry in Boston). Her nickname around the office is “the friendly bulldog” - she effectively leads teams to accomplish tasks while maintaining a positive, bright attitude. Team members can count on Estey to bring a focus on actionable initiatives, as well as strong collaborative skills including emotional intelligence. Estey is an active member of WTS-Boston – and currently serves as the Lead for the Formal Mentoring program and co-chair of the Mentoring Committee. Estey firmly believes in the power of mentorship to elevate careers in transportation, especially for women, trans and nonbinary folks, and other minorities. Estey is driven to form new and deepened relationships with anyone at HDR and in the AEC industry in New England, especially in Boston. Everyone is a potential client, collaborator and/or friend. The focus of Estey's role at HDR is on enhancing the development of client relationships and work-winning in all sectors of architecture in the areas of transportation, education, science, and community, health, justice, and civic architecture. She supports a local team of 7 Principals and over 45 architects, interior designers, and planners in the Boston HDR architecture studio, and collaborates with a matrix of over 13,000 HDR employees worldwide.
