Michael Ermann is the creator of Amber Book, a leader in online architect licensure exam prep.
Mr. Ermann is a licensed architect and the first in the nation to pass the ARE 5.0. He is a tenured professor at Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture + Design, where he has taught design studio, environmental building systems, materials & construction methods, and architectural acoustics since 2001.
Prior to founding Amber Book and earning tenure at Virginia Tech, Mr. Ermann was an acoustical consultant in Florida and New York City.
Mr. Ermann has been widely recognized for his leadership and contributions to architecture by the American Institute of Architects and the Architizer A+Awards, among other organizations. He has won 14 awards for his design, teaching, and research.
