Anita Erskine

Roots of Inclusion

Anita understands the critical importance of disability rights, equity, and advocacy, shaped by her lifetime of lived experience as a full-time wheelchair user. Having personally navigated barriers to education that still persist today, she is deeply committed to ensuring that youth with disabilities not only have access to inclusive systems but also the tools and confidence to shape those systems themselves.

A former classroom teacher, summer camp director, and curriculum director, she is now developing, designing, and managing a fellowship program that engages middle school students with disabilities in learning about leadership, advocacy, disability policy, and civil rights.
