Carl Elefante, FAIA, FAPT

Carl Elefante, Principal Emeritus at Quinn Evans and 2024 AIA Firm Award recipient, is renowned for coining “the greenest building is…one that is already built.” He has led at the intersection of historic preservation and sustainable design, serving as 2018 AIA President and inaugural visiting scholar at Notre Dame’s Duda Center. A Senior Fellow with Architecture 2030 and charter member of the Climate Heritage Network, Carl is a Fellow of both AIA and APT.
