Ryoji Karube


Ryoji Karube joined Selldorf Architects in 2011. Mr. Karube, a Senior Project Architect, serves as Director of Sustainability and Research. Since joining Selldorf, he has worked on project types ranging from museums and other institutional buildings to condominiums, commercial and office space. Mr. Karube served as a Senior Project Architect for the expansion and renovation of the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. Mr. Karube is currently working on a major expansion of the Art Gallery of Ontario and a new academic building at Harvard’s Dumbarton Oaks. He holds a LEED Green Associate certification and leads the firm’s sustainability efforts from concept phase through the development of high performance building envelope, specifying sustainable materials and products. Mr. Karube earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Keio University in Japan and his Master in Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
