Jason Halaby (AIA #30177819) Senior Associate, WRNS Studio
Jason has over 20 years of experience in architecture design, parametric modeling, and computational design. He leads the Technology and Digital Practice Group at WRNS Studio, developing and implementing new tools, processes and best practices for architectural design technology.
With a deep interest in mass timber construction, Jason has developed detailing and structural coordination skills to advance the studio’s design knowledge for these structures. Close coordination with structural engineers and mass timber fabricators has given him a unique perspective on structural connections, construction tolerances, and architectural detailing challenges.
Jason also brings a computational lens to his design work, contributing to project sustainability goals through modeling and analysis. His recent focus is to daylight embodied carbon impacts of early design decisions. He is developer and programmer of Feather, an embodied carbon calculator web-application for architects and engineers.
