Grimshaw

Throughout his 26 years at Grimshaw, Juan has played a foundational role in the practice's international expansion and reputation for design excellence, particularly in civic projects, as well as transportation planning and design. Air, rail, mass transit, and their associated development has been a focus for Juan since his earliest days at Grimshaw, with projects including the redevelopment of Paddington Station in London; the Fulton Street Transit Center; the Education City Tram Stops in Qatar; and a family of three signature bridges for Toronto's Port Lands. Outside of the transportation sector, Juan excels in the design of engaging and sustainable architecture in arts, culture, and housing, such as Eden Biomes in Cornwall, UK, Queens Museum in New York City, and the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center in Troy, NY. He was also a designer on the Via Verde mixed-income housing development in the Bronx and was partner-in-charge of The Silva, a luxury multi-family rental building in the historic Meridian Hill district of Washington, D.C.
