Alexandra is a licensed architect in the State of Ohio with experiences in sports/recreation, higher education, and single family projects. She taught courses at Rice University during her tenure as a graduate student, and she continues to teach at The Ohio State University's Knowlton School. Her general research focuses on the intersection of form, food, and franchisement, exploring issues of agency and ownership in the built environment. Over the past two years, Oetzel has served as AIA Ohio's Early Professional Director, leading events such as the Practice Simulation Lab and the Early Professional Friendly Firm program. She looks forward to serving early professionals in her latest role as Ohio's Representative to the Young Architect Forum.
