Ali Barar has served as Managing Principal for GGA for the past 14 years. Ali’s focus has been on community planning through development of mixed-use, transit oriented, and affordable housing, as well as long range financial planning. Ali has over 30 years of experience in the areas of affordable housing design and community planning. Prior to Joining GGA, Ali was the Vice President and Architectural Director of the Los Angeles Community Design Center (LACDC), a non-profit architecture, planning and affordable housing development corporation that provides a broad range of services to low-income communities.
Ali holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of North Carolina and a Master’s of Architecture degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
