Michael Ermann

Michael Ermann is Amber Book creator, professor, and author of the book, Architectural Acoustics Illustrated (Wiley, 2015). Since joining the faculty in 2001, he’s taught design studio, building systems, and advanced acoustics courses at Virginia Tech, where he is a tenured full professor and former program chairman. He has also taught 50 AIA seminars and his online course has helped 30,000+ more enrollees study for their licensure exams. His YouTube channel has more than eight million views, the Bubble Wrap House Michael designed won an AIA Honor Award and an international Archtizer Design Award, and in 2019 he won a lifetime achievement award from AIA Virginia.
