Cathy Baker-Eclipse heads the Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s Design and Construction Unit.
Baker-Eclipse became interested in landscape architecture as a way to combine her love of art with improving the environment in tangible ways. After 10 years of working for award-winning design firms in the Boston area, she joined the Parks Department in 2008.
Prior to leading the Design and Construction Unit, Baker-Eclipse was a project manager working to protect the waterfront from the effects of sea level rise, neighborhood playground replacements, and multiphase park renovations.
