Somerville High School (SHS) recently underwent an addition/renovation project that preserved the school's 170-year history and place in the urban fabric of its Central Hill neighborhood—the city's civic and educational core. This architect-led tour will demonstrate how sustainable design principles were employed to enhance diverse learning experiences and overall building performance.
Join us to discover how the new SHS fosters social equity and wellness. As you'll see, strategic placement of specialized learning spaces connects college-bound academic programs with the hands-on culture of 14 career and technical education (CTE) programs, many with public-facing components.
