As architects and designers, we must consider the social implications of how our physical designs evolve in response to changes in cultural norms. One relevant case study is the all-gender restroom, a frequent topic of conversation in the projects we've designed in higher education (and elsewhere) over the past decade.
This session will highlight what's happening on campuses and provide information on how code influences the design of all-gender restrooms. Join us to discover how campus communities can be better prepared to advocate for their needs in building all-gender restrooms.
Learning Objectives
- Explore the implications of current code on the design of all-gender restrooms
- Discover how to implement larger design strategies.
