High Tech High is a nationally recognized, San Diego–based organization with 16 public charter schools, a teacher certification program, and a graduate school of education. Founded in 2000, it reimagines K–12 learning through equity, personalization, and project-based education.
This architect-led tour will visit two campuses—one new construction and one adaptive reuse—highlighting how design supports both sustainability and innovative pedagogy. The architecture embraces height, light, and exposed structure, fostering transparency between spaces and generous circulation areas that showcase student work. Educators and students will share their thoughts about how these environments shape daily learning.
