Lyrik Boston: Reconnecting the City

Additional fee, registration required.

Boston has long sought to reconnect neighborhoods impacted by the construction of the Massachusetts Turnpike. Lyrik Boston, the first air rights development in 40 years, offers a unique case study in placemaking, engineering, and community building.

This tour explores how the project bridges neighborhoods and transforms urban space. Highlights include 1001 Mass Avenue’s commercial and retail spaces built directly above the highway, a nearly one-acre public plaza designed for both active and passive use, and thoughtful public realm improvements that enhance accessibility and connectivity.
